Independents in ENGLAND
The Orange Institution for many years has been a part of the cultural identity of the great City of Liverpool. Thankfully the mistrusts, which at one time existed between the Orange and Green Communities has long since past and a shared future now prevails.
The Independent Orange Institution plays host on Thursday 12th July to a large number of visitors from Scotland and Northern Ireland who will join with us as we celebrate the Glorious Revolution of 1688-1690. As and organization, we continue to make every effort to raise funds and support many worthwhile and charitable causes, the Royal British Legion and Help for Heroes being just two of the organisations which we consistently support.
The Orange Institution approves the following resolutions:
RESOLUTION 1 – HER MAJESTY THE QUEENS DIAMOND JUBILEE
We the members of the Independent Country Grand Lodge of England, on this the 322nd anniversary of the Battle of the Boyne acknowledge the faithfulness and dedication to service, which our Most Gracious Queen has shown throughout her illustrious reign. We recognise her LOYALTY to the British Commonwealth, her ABILITY to executed the office of Monarch, and we note the INTEGRITY which she has shown throughout the past 60 years service to we, the subjects of this realm. We praise God for her unwavering dedication to duty, and trust that the Lord will continue to uphold her in this, her Diamond Jubilee Year.
RESOLUTION 2 - LOYALTY TO THE HOUSE OF WINDSOR
We the members of the County Grand Lodge of England pledge our unprecedented loyalty to the British Crown, reaffirming our continual support for the British Monarchy and the House of Windsor, it being Protestant.
RESOLUTION 3 – THE ARMED FORCES
The Independent Loyal Orange Institution wish to place on public record our continual support for the British Armed Forces. We salute the courage and bravery of those who are engaged in conflicts throughout the world. As an Institution we are concerned by the constant loss of life being sustained by British Forces within Afghanistan. The County Grand Lodge of England therefore calls upon the Prime Minister to give serious consideration to withdrawing our troops from this war torn area. We assure those who have been bereaved of loved ones of our prayerful support and pledge to uphold those who British Troops who serve on the front line.
